The Kamentsá
Hidden in the heart of the Sibundoy Valley, the Kamentsá people guard one of Colombia's most profound indigenous heritages. Their community lives in harmony with the rhythms of the jungle, the mountains, and the rivers — honoring the cycles of nature through ceremony, craft, and oral tradition. Their worldview is rooted in balance, respect, and the understanding that every element of the earth carries spirit and meaning.

Their People and Their Art

THEIR PEOPLE AND THEIR ART

The Kamentsá artisans are guardians of stories told through color and form. With patience and devotion, they weave intricate bead patterns that mirror the symbols of their visions and rituals. Each piece carries a fragment of their identity — a reflection of their connection to nature, their ancestors, and the cosmos. In every thread lies a prayer, and in every bead, a universe.

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND SOLZ

Solz finds its spirit in the ancestral vision of the Sibundoy Valley — in the story of Yuba, the first shaman who received the gift of yagé from the great serpent. From that sacred encounter emerged a path of healing and understanding that still guides the community today. Our pieces echo that legacy: their patterns evoke the serpent’s hypnotic movement, the psychedelic visions of medicine, and the infinite dialogue between human and nature. Through design, we honor that wisdom — a reminder that beauty, like consciousness, is ever transforming.
